CCPA Annual Showcase: VIVID 2014

VIVID 2014 will showcase some of Roosevelt University’s most talented students as they take the Auditorium Theatre stage for energetic, powerful performances that will stay with audiences for years to come.

The first half will feature the Music Conservatory's CCPA/Chicago Opera Theater Professional Diploma students and the graduate class of voice majors performing selections from Verdi’s La traviata and Falstaff, Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims, Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, and Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles.

The Theatre Conservatory’s Musical Theatre students will celebrate the diverse works of Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich in the second half. This Drama Desk and Lortel Award nominated song-writing team are the first women ever honored as recipients of the Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Songwriting.

VIVID is a free event, but tickets are required. Tickets can be picked up at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office, 50 E. Congress Parkway (between Wabash and Michigan), from Monday through Friday, 12 to 6 p.m. Tickets can also be reserved at; there will be a $1 service fee per ticket for reservations made online. Roosevelt University continues its The Hidden History of Roosevelt University: The First 50 Years

Help us tell the story -

Roosevelt University Historian Lynn Weiner and President Chuck Middleton are continuing to visit our alumni throughout the country to talk about a history project at Roosevelt University.

Bring your best memories and an object from your Roosevelt college days, which you can share during "show and tell!" Items can be anything, from your class yearbook to a bluebook exam, or the poster that you stole from the hallway.
