The Real Estate Associate Program (REAP) is an executive training program whose purpose is to expand diversity in the commercial real estate industry. REAP is based in New York and is a non-profit organization that receives organizational support from ICSC, ULI and other national real estate industry groups as well as having local company sponsors. It began about a decade ago and has graduated one previous class in Chicago in which some of our students participated.
This year The Marshall Bennett Institute has been hosting planning meetings for a FALL 2013 session here in Chicago and is an official REAP Sponsor. The Chicago Association of REALTORS (CAR) is also a REAP Sponsor and will be the host for the classes which will occur over a period of 13 weeks. Classes take place twice per week from 6:00-9:00 on Tuesday and Thursday beginning with a reception on September 3rd and ending with graduation on December 4th. The classes are designed to expose minority professionals to a full range of commercial real estate activities and to top leaders in the Chicago real estate industry.
Registration for the entire class schedule is $500. I would encourage you to recommend the REAP program to employees, friends, associates and other professionals you know who could benefit from this program. This is a way to become fully networked into the industry, meet local leaders and learn best practices that can advance careers. A brochure is attached with more information. The registration deadline is July 26th. You can register online and obtain more information at: www.projectreap.org
Tuesdays and Thursdays September 3 - December 4, 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
