CHS 400 Orientation to Graduate Study in Counseling
This course provides a comprehensive overview of the counseling profession. Students will explore historic, philosophical, and sociocultural trends in the field of counseling. Topics include: professional roles, functions, specialties, employment trends, preparation standards, credentialing, and ethical standards. An experiential portion of this course will introduce students to basic counseling skills.
