Peer Advocate Program

The Peer Advocates (PAs) are Roosevelt students who function primarily as student liaisons between the Counseling Center staff and the student body. They are involved with marketing and outreach activities to increase the university's awareness of the Counseling Center's services and programs. The PAs are creative individuals who enjoy contact with a wide variety of people. Their positive, energetic, and enthusiastic attitudes are essential to working together as a team. Last year, the PAs were integrally involved in many Counseling Center activities, such as:

• Coordinating and facilitating events
• Researching topics for program development
• Providing information to students regarding depression, alcohol use, and stress management
• Contributing articles to the Counseling Center newsletter
