Favorite fun fact about Roosevelt

When Roosevelt University was originally founded as Thomas Jefferson College it was financially backed and supported by the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union – which was once one of the largest labor unions in the U.S., one of the first to have a primarily female membership, and a key player in the labor history of the U.S. in the 1920s and 1930. Several merges and reorganizations to present day, this union is now known as UNITE HERE.
