The MFA in Creative Writing Program is hosting a reading with award-winning author and Roosevelt University Writer in Residence, Kathleen Rooney. Rooney is a founding editor of Rose Metal Press, a 501(c)(3) non-profit publisher of work in hybrid genres, and the author, most recently, of the novel in poems, Robinson Alone (Gold WakePress 2012) and the essay collection, For You, For You I Am Trilling These Songs (Counterpoint 2010). A chapbook, The Kind of Beauty That Has Nowhere to Go, is forthcoming from Hyacinth Girl Press in 2013. This event is free and open to the public.
