Dorothy Roberts: New Biopolitics of Race, Crime and Justice

The Mansfield Institute for Social Justice and Transformation present the annual Mansfield Lecture. This year's distinguished lecturer is Dorothy Roberts, acclaimed scholar of race, gender and the law, and Professor of Law and Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Professor Roberts is the author of "Fatal Invention: How Science, Politics, and Big Business Re-Create Race in the 21st Century." She will speak to the crimnal (in)justice implications of the new racial science, the biopolitics of race, specifically the dangers of the new racial science that is reviving the myth of biological races.
