Teaching, Learning and Research Technologies Group

The TLRT Group is charged with exploring technology and reviewing and recommending priorities for projects that affect all aspects of academic and instructional technology, including the design and configuration of computer labs, classrooms, and other learning spaces, the acquisition of instructional software, and the development of technology to support faculty research. Some examples of TLRT activities include:

  • Provides hands-on testing and evaluation of new technologies.
  • Advises administration regarding priorities for the purchase of instructional tools.
  • Assists in the planning and sponsorship of faculty colloquia, seminars, workshops, and other events to provide training to instructors in the use of new technologies.
  • Represents the interests and needs of faculty, communicating faculty ideas and concerns to the group and providing information on new technologies to the faculty.
  • Advises ITS on the improvement and extension of technology support services for faculty.
