Financial expert Terry Savage to speak to top female real estate leaders on Oct. 17

Posted: 10/11/2011

Terry Savage, a nationally known expert on personal finance, the markets and the economy, will speak about financial planning in today’s challenging economy during a networking luncheon for women real estate leaders on Monday, Oct. 17 at the Chicago Club, 81 E. Van Buren St., Chicago.

A syndicated financial columnist for the Chicago Sun Times, a regular contributor to online finance and investing sites and a frequent guest on television and radio shows, Savage is the author of the best-selling book, The Savage Truth on Money.  She will speak and meet with more than 100 of Chicago’s rising female real estate leaders as part of the Goldie B. Wolfe Miller Women Leaders in Real Estate Initiative 2011 Fall Forum.

Named for successful commercial real estate leader Golde Wolfe Miller, the Initiative has a mission of promoting women in the commercial real estate industry through education, mentorship, professional training and networking so they can achieve leadership positions.

There are currently 14 Goldie Wolfe Miller scholars who are studying for their master’s in business administration or master’s in real estate at Roosevelt’s Marshall Bennett Institute for Real Estate. These scholars will have the opportunity to meet Savage and network with female business leaders during the event being organized by Roosevelt University with media sponsorship from Chicago Agent magazine, ChicagoRealEstateDaily.com, Illinois Real Estate Journal, REJournals.com and Today’s Chicago Woman.

Cost of the Initiative’s Oct. 17 fall forum is $65 per person.  All who attend will receive an autographed copy of The Savage Truth on Money. For more information, call 312-853-4765 or visit www.roosevelt.edu/realestate/goldieevent
