Posted: 03/19/2013
Roosevelt University’s Walter E. Heller College of Business Administration is hosting a a green-technology Teen Entrepreneurship Academy for current high school sophomores and juniors that will be held over the summer at the University’s Chicago Campus.

Fall 2013 incoming juniors and seniors with an aptitude for math, science and technology and an interest in entrepreneurship are encouraged to apply no later than March 31 for the academy, which will be held July 14-19 and again July 28-Aug. 2 in the University’s new Wabash Building, 425 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago.

Led by Heller College faculty and staff in conjunction with industry leaders and successful green-tech business entrepreneurs and sponsored by Motorola Solutions Foundation, the Academy provides entrepreneurship training, knowledge about green technology and life skills that empower young people. Students work in teams on a strategy and plan for a new business. On the final day, teams make an “investor pitch” to a panel of judges. Members of the winning team receive Roosevelt University tuition vouchers.
