RUOnline Faculty Training

RUOnline uses Blackboard, a web-based course management system for online courses. Blackboard is a tool that allows faculty to add resources for students to access online. Blackboard is an easy-to-use online course management system that is available 24/7. Using Blackboard instructors can post syllabi, readings, and assignments as well as communicate via email, virtual chats or discussion boards.  Free Blackboard training is offered for Roosevelt instructors.

Attend training without leaving your home or office. Each 6-week fully online course includes pedagogical concepts and best practices in course design and instruction. Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded a certificate and upon request a copy will be sent to your dean.

Face to face workshops are also offered at both the Chicago and Schaumburg campuses.  Choose the campus of your choice to register for the free Blackboard training.  Topics include customizing your course, uploading content, using the grade center and more.
