Space Reservations, Contracts, and Logistics for Facility Rentals at Roosevelt University Roosevelt University frequently rents out its general-use spaces and classrooms at both campuses for meetings, conferences, and special events, when these spaces are not in use for Roosevelt classes and University events. The University’s Outside Rental Policy guides its decisions about organizations to which it will rent space, and the parameters of the contract established between the two parties. Roosevelt University often rents space to non-profit organizations for meetings and special events. In addition, due to the University’s non-profit status, space may only be rented to for-profit entities for meetings, training events, and special events that do not involve conducting the company’s profit-making activity on Roosevelt’s property. For example, a corporation may hold staff training or a departmental meeting at Roosevelt, but may not sell its products or provide its core service on an RU campus. There are separate rental fee scales for non-profit organizations vs. corporations (for-profits):
In addition to the facility rental fees, the following services involve extra charges: room setup, weekend janitorial services for large events, audio-visual equipment and staffing, after-hours security if needed, and catering. Renting organizations are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance. There are designated contact persons at each campus who are responsible for handling inquiries, reservations, and meeting arrangements for outside parties wishing to rent space at Roosevelt. Interested outside parties may contact the following individuals:
