Tutoring
The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides group and individualized academic support and tutoring across a wide spectrum of subject areas. Students can work on specific writing needs or use the center as a place to go to discuss projects, paper topics, or ideas. Tutoring is free for currently enrolled Roosevelt students.
Meet the ASC Tutoring Staff
Jeff is the Chicago Campus tutoring coordinator in ASC and he is a graduate of Roosevelt University and The University of Chicago. Jeff returned to Roosevelt in 1980 after ten years working as a corporate office manager and then teaching with the Chicago Public Schools, as well as at Columbia College, The Art Institute of Chicago, Robert Morris College, and The Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. He has served as the director of the Writing Laboratory and then the Learning Resource Center and as an adjunct faculty member, teaching such courses as: English Composition, Business Communication, Creative Writing, American Drama Since World War Two, The Plays of Eugene O’Neill, and Art and Urban Life. A founder of Collage Productions, The Boxer Rebellion Ensemble, and The Backstage Theatre, he has appeared in numerous theatrical productions and is both a published novelist and a playwright with over fifteen plays having been produced in Chicago, Milwaukee, St Louis, and New York. He has also worked as a professional arts journalist and was the administrative advisor for Roosevelt University’s prize winning literary magazine, The Oyez Review, from 1990 to 2002. He currently instructs the PLS senior thesis course. Jeff tutors students in writing across all subjects.
