Favela Day! Tuesday, November 10, 2009 Sad to see that Brazil won the Olympics? Don't be sad - learn more about the nation and its people! On November 10th from 2-6pm in the Licht Student Center, SPEED will be presenting the documentary "Favela Rising." Come see how one music group in Brazil brought hope and saved thousands of lives within one of the worst ghettos in the world. A raffle will be drawn for a CD of the artist featured in the movie. We will also have a free food provided by your student activity fee. Come check it out! | |
