College of Arts and Sciences Expanding the Possibilities of Education
Mallory Umar, a senior in Roosevelt University's College of Arts and Sciences (majoring in psychology and sociology), founded a new student organization - the Eleanor Roosevelt Society - dedicated to furthering social justice and providing community service. Mallory also serves as a student representative on the College of Arts and Sciences Advisory Board. She was recently named student laureate for 2009-10 by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois. Roosevelt University's College of Arts and Sciences is one of the founding colleges of the University and is the largest college at the University. The college provides innovative courses taught by outstanding faculty within a stimulating academic community. The ten departments in the college offer over 40 majors and minors in both traditional liberal arts programs as well as cutting edge programs in applied and rapidly changing disciplines. Degree options include certificates, bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and a PsyD in clinical psychology.
