At its founding in 1945, Eleanor Roosevelt dedicated Roosevelt University to “the enlightenment of the human spirit.”  From that point to this day, the College of Education has sought to achieve this goal through the cultivation of democratic learning communities.  We invite prospective and practicing teachers, counselors and school leaders to experience democratic learning communities in courses and field experiences leading to certification and degree completion.

The College of Education has a history of serving nontraditional as well as traditional populations.  Whether preparing professionals for the urban or suburban classroom, for non-school settings, or for working with older adults, the College of Education demonstrates a continuing commitment to quality and service.

Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered at the Chicago Campus on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago and the Albert A. Robin Campus in Schaumburg. Please visit the program links below for more information.
