The Orientation Leaders Welcome You to Roosevelt!

RU new to Roosevelt? If so, you've come to the right place!  The Center for Student Involvement at the Chicago Campus is responsible for coordinating the University’s New Student Programs for new Chicago undergraduate students.  Programs include New Student Orientation, Laker Days, Welcome Week and the First Year Seminar (FYS 100) course. 

 

New Student Orientation - Spring 2010

Please join us for a one-day New Student Orientation program for all new undergraduate students starting classes in the spring 2010 semester at the Chicago Campus. Students attending orientation are expected to have registered for fall classes prior to attending the program (unless you are a CCPA student - you will register for classes when you arrive on campus).  New first year and transfer students are required to attend an orientation session.  There is a $25 fee for participation per person (student or parent) that will be billed to your RU student account.

New Student Orientation will take place on the dates below from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Check-in is available starting at 8:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Auditorium Building, 430 S. Michigan Ave., and the program will begin promptly at 9 a.m. If you would like more information on the program, please check out the documents located on the left side of this page.

New Student Orientation - Fall 2010

Information about orientation programs for new Chicago Campus undergraduate students starting classes in the fall of 2010 will be available in March 2010.  We look forward to you joining the Roosevelt University community.

 

Laker Days  & Welcome Week

Laker Days are held each fall semester and are four days of fun activities that will help integrate new students into campus life and introduce you to the city of Chicago and each other.  Laker Days are for all new students at the Chicago Campus. 

Welcome Week takes place the first week of classes in the fall and spring semesters.  Welcome Week will keep you busy with social and educational activities to help you meet current RU students and learn more about the city.  Welcome Week is for new and continuing students at the Chicago Campus.

First Year Seminar (FYS 100)

FYS 100 is a required course for students starting college for the first time.  This eight-week course includes helpful information, excursions in the community, and opportunities to meet your peers.  Click here for more information about FYS 100.
