Matching Gifts Increasingly, businesses and corporations encourage their employees to make gifts to non-profit organizations such as universities. To promote charitable giving, many of these companies offer to match dollar for dollar and some will even double or triple the match to the employee's charity of choice. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses too. To find out if your employer has a matching gift program:
Review your company’s matching gift form for complete information on eligibility and limitations Upon receiving your gift, The Office of Institutional Advancement will process your form and notify your employer. Matching gifts are directed to the same area of your original gift unless company policy requires otherwise. Matching gifts count toward an individual’s giving total and recognition in the Annual Giving Clubs or the President’s Club.
