Welcome to the College Of Pharmacy
The College of Pharmacy, Roosevelt University’s sixth and newest college, intends to submit an application for pre-candidate status with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) by March 2010, with plans for an inaugural class in 2011.
The College of Pharmacy will offer a professional program in pharmacy that leads to the awarding of the Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). The PharmD is the single entry-level degree for the profession of pharmacy that is accredited by ACPE and recognized by state boards of pharmacy for licensure.
Roosevelt University will have the only college of pharmacy in the Midwest to offer an innovative, year-round curriculum. Students enrolled in the program can earn the PharmD degree in three years, rather than the typical four years, enabling graduates to pursue post-graduate training or enter the job market one year earlier.
The patient-centered curriculum will be taught by pharmacy scholars and practitioners, which will produce pharmacy graduates who are competent, committed, compassionate and prepared to succeed in the ever-evolving health care marketplace.
The college will be located on Roosevelt University’s Schaumburg Campus in Chicago's northwest suburbs. Questions about the College of Pharmacy can be sent to: cop@roosevelt.edu.
