About Me

I am an experienced, award-winning school leader and educator with almost 34 years of service in public education, focused on improving teaching and learning that advances academic achievement of students from diverse communities and neighborhoods. I was born to do the work of an educator and school leader. It is my calling and I am truly passionate about this work. I am a native Chicagoan and a proud Roosevelt alum. It gives me great joy and excitement to return to Roosevelt University in the role of a faculty member. The education I received at RU supported my growth and development as an individual, educator and school leader. I am a dad of four, husband, son, and brother.
