About Me
Marian Azzaro spent more than 20 years on a career in business practice managing the marketing and advertising activities of major national brands. Her career in business included agency side as well as client side work. Azzaro moved into teaching full-time at Roosevelt University in 1999. In addition to teaching, she serves now as Chair of the Department of Communication, home to programs in Integrated Marketing Communications and Journalism and Media Studies. The Roosevelt University graduate level MSIMC degree program (http://www.roosevelt.edu/imc) is one of the longest standing graduate IMC programs in the country.
Specialties: Azzaro's research focus, after 20+ years of business experience, is strategic planning in areas including marketing planning, brand planning, and media planning. Also curricular development, particularly in the study of international brand development and management.
