HSI STEM

Roosevelt University is a proud Hispanic Serving Institution

Since 1945, Roosevelt University has been committed to academic excellence and equal opportunity for students of all backgrounds. Our designation as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) in 2020 by the U.S. Department of Education reflects this legacy. It is more than a title: being an HSI affirms our ongoing promise to foster a diverse, inclusive, and supportive environment for every student.

What students get out of HSI STEM

In Illinois, the STEM workforce is expected to grow 12% over the next decade compared to 3.7% in other professions. As part of our designation as an HSI, Roosevelt has received federal funding to enhance our STEM educational programming and offer enhanced student support services. These resources allow us to ensure the success of all Lakers, especially our Hispanic/Latinx students and students who are first in their family to attend college, in today’s dynamic career landscape.

Explore these resources and many more, designed to support your success as a student.
