The Bachelor of Musical Arts (BMA) Interdisciplinary Music Industry offers students curricular flexibility to explore their academic and artistic interests. BMA students may choose their electives as well as their specific music industry emphasis: Recording and Engineering, Live Sound or Music Industry Administration. Beginning in Fall 2024, annual tuition for this program will be $21,000 per year.
The BMA Music Industry is housed in the Interdisciplinary Conservatory of the Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). Our faculty is comprised of full-time professors as well as many active Music professionals who lend their unique talents and expertise to our Conservatories. At CCPA, our students learn from and work alongside the very best, and a low student/faculty ratio results in a focused study that is tailored to each individual.
This degree is targeted towards students who are interested in combining studies in music with coursework in the liberal arts and sciences with a specialized track focused on the music industry.
A self-designed BMA capstone project combines the student’s interests, studies, and experiences with an emphasis on production or industry administration.
Additionally, BMA students complete an internship in a professional setting during the senior year as a way to attain a range of skills transferrable to a breadth of opportunities after graduation.
