Since 1989, the Reentry Support Institute has provided skills training, employment preparation and case management assistance to formerly incarcerated individuals returning to the Chicagoland area.
Through the Life Skills Reentry Program, the Reentry Support Institute offers the following services free of charge to eligible program participants:
Our Personal and Career Development Class is designed to address many of the barriers you may face returning to your community and seeking employment upon release.
Classes offered in person are scheduled for two weeks, Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Call (312) 281-3370 to confirm the next available class start date.
The Life Skills Reentry Program is free of cost and available to individuals of nearly all backgrounds that have been previously incarcerated by the Illinois Department of Corrections.
Requirements to participate in services offered in person are listed below. Individuals unable or unwilling to meet these requirements are encouraged to call and ask about remote learning opportunities.
The Reentry Support Institute has cultivated a network of local service providers to assist you throughout the reentry process. Referrals are available in-person or via phone at (312) 281-3371.
