The Scholarship Initiative for Black Students

Roosevelt’s Scholarship Initiative for Black Students is a collective of donor-funded scholarships — all which uniquely recognize the University’s commitment to equity and attainment, and help ensure the success of Roosevelt’s Black student community.

The Scholarship Funds

The Initiative consists of six individual funds, all which award scholarships each year through a competitive application process overseen by the Office of Engagement, Equity and Inclusion.

  • African Students Scholarship
  • Black Student Equity Fund
  • Charles & Patty Donegan Social Justice Scholarship for African American Students
  • LeArthur Dunlap Scholarship for African American & Veteran Students
  • Robert L. Wieseneck Black Student Equity Scholarship
