Interested in a career that explores the behavior and intricacies of the human mind? An advanced degree in psychology opens the door to a variety of professional pathways in growing industries. Becoming a psychologist allows you study how people interact with others, their environment and even their own subconscious. You can also observe cognitive and emotional trends that provide individuals or companies with crucial resources to improve their businesses or personal lives. And while a bachelor’s degree in psychology can qualify you for numerous roles, a master’s or doctorate in psychology significantly expands your career opportunities.

Roosevelt offers several advanced psychology degrees to help you achieve your professional goals, and we’ll help you select the degree that best matches your interests.

Are you already working as a social worker, counselor or business analyst and want to expand your knowledge base for career growth? Roosevelt’s General Psychology, MA program is designed for professionals who already utilize psychology in their jobs and want to broaden their expertise in theory and research. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling, MA program will allow you to become a professional counselor and clinical professional counselor in the State of Illinois and emphasizes using psychology to assist individuals with mental health struggles. You can complete intensive internships at local counseling and community agencies, and you’ll graduate with the knowledge to diagnosis and treat mental and emotional disorders such as addiction, depression and interpersonal conflict.

If you want to research in a clinic that conducts psychotherapy and psychological testing, or if you want to work in a specialized concentration such as neuropsychology, Roosevelt’s Clinical Psychology, PsyD program allows you to develop the psychology tools for a research or medical setting.
