About Me

My program of research focuses on the role of social interactions in promoting young children’s learning and remembering. I examine how parent-child conversational interactions during hands-on activities impact children's learning and applications of learning across contexts and over time. Currently, I am investigating the links between early STEM-learning experiences and life-long scientific pursuits. My goal is to identify methods that parents and museum educations can use with young children to foster early understanding and interest in STEM.
