Our Voice program values students as individuals and prepares them to establish careers as 21st century artists. At CCPA you will work intensively with world-class Artist faculty in applied lessons and coaching sessions, learn foundations in theory, history, and language skills, address professional issues and arts entrepreneurship, perform in innovative productions guided by leaders in the field, and belong to a community of students and alumni thriving in the arts.
Just blocks away from major opera companies, music venues, theaters, museums, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Roosevelt’s campus is in the center of one of America’s most culturally vibrant and influential cities. CCPA students have regular opportunities to hear and see renowned and emerging artists, and can also start their professional life while in school by participating in internships or apprenticeships, singing in professional choruses, teaching in arts enrichment programs, collaborating with student colleagues on creative projects, and networking with professional artists who call Chicago home.
All students in our program study privately with their applied teacher for the duration of their degree program, sing in performance classes, and work with our coaching staff in various settings.
Our faculty also teach courses and master classes with an emphasis on technique and musicality and performing arts career seminars specific to the business of being a singer. This professional development aspect adds career acceleration to the stellar technical and musical preparation.
