Roosevelt University's counseling graduate programs prepare our graduates to become licensed clinical counselors as well as counselors in higher education – with a particular focus on serving diverse children and adults in metropolitan areas.
Program courses are aligned with the national standards for the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Affiliated Educational Programs (CACREP).
Explore the social-emotional needs of K-12 students. Licensed teachers or recent college graduates with degrees outside of education can enroll in this program. Program graduates are eligible to earn an Illinois Professional Educator License endorsed for School Counseling.
Prepare for the complexities of the mental health field through focused and practical assignments, engaging and intensive discussions, and small group projects. Program graduates will be prepared for state licensure as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and for the National Certified Counselor (NCC) certification.
