Ralph Martire

Ralph Martire, the Arthur Rubloff endowed professor of public policy at Roosevelt University, will speak at a series of free, virtual events on the Fair Tax amendment.

The proposed amendment to the Illinois Constitution would allow the state to change the income tax system from a flat to a graduated rate, where higher-income residents could be taxed at higher levels. During the November election, Illinois voters will cast their ballot directly on the issue. Martire will address the impact of the Fair Tax amendment on the state budget and on state residents.
