Roosevelt University will require on-campus students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for the 2021-22 academic year. All undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students will need proof of vaccination to return to any Roosevelt campus in fall 2021.
"Roosevelt will require student vaccines for their own safety and the safety of others," said Ali Malekzadeh, Roosevelt University president. "All students are encouraged to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible."
With wider distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and continuing downward trends in cases, Roosevelt plans to offer many more classes face to face this fall. Students who will not be on campus at all are not required to provide proof of vaccination.
"Roosevelt understands the incredible importance of in-person learning," said Malekzadeh. "Returning to in-person classes gives students more opportunities to build those close connections with their fellow students and faculty."
